> NEW - YOT Good Practice Guides
Working in conjunction with Bradford YOT and Cordis Bright we have produced a 'Good Practice for YOT Staff' desk-top booklet.

It is printed in neutral colours, with a finished size of 148mm x 120mm, and is ideal for any member of staff to assist them in preparation for inspection, or as a reminder about good practice to help deliver consistency - click here for more information

West Yorkshire YOT Volunteer Conference

West Yorkshire YOTs recently hosted a conference for Community Panel Members in Brighouse.  Over 70 volunteers from across the county met to consider how they could improve their role with young offenders, their families and victims of crime.
We acted as conference co-ordinator and managed every aspect of the event, including:

  • Invitations and data-base management

  • Design and print of conference packs

  • Design and production of display panels etc.

  • All PowerPoint

  • Event photography

  • Post-conference newsletter

See post-conference PDF newsletter here.

> Calderdale Interfaith Council Directory

The Calderdale Interfaith Council have published a directory listing and describing all the major faiths active in Calderdale.  Sponsored by HBOS and Calderdale Council, and supported by the representative groups for each of the religions, the 100-page document will be distributed across the region in schools, community groups and statutory organisations.

Our role was to design the document, provide photography and graphics and liaise with the compilers/editors to ensure accuracy in a highly sensitive document.  The document was successfully launched in Halifax on 6/12/2005.

See a PDF version of the document here.

> West Yorkshire YOT Conference

  • Data-base management

  • Design and print of conference packs

  • Design and production of display panels

  • All PowerPoint

  • Post-conference newsletter

> Information Leaflets

Wakefield YOT and Calderdale YOT have recently had new sets of information leaflets designed and printed by Elemental Ideas.  Made up of around 20 titles covering the full range of orders and support services offered they provide clear information for young people, parents, carers, volunteers and partner agencies.

See examples for Calderdale and Wakefield YOTs here.

> Bradford Youth Offending Team

We are now into the third year of managing the content on the Bradford YOT website

It has developed into a large and 'feature-rich' site and is updated on a weekly basis with news, press-releases and updates covering the wide range of projects and initiatives the YOT is involved in.  It is regularly used by staff, partners and the public.

It is listed in the Google top ten when you search for "Bradford YOT".

We are also managing the websites for Calderdale and Kirklees YOTs.

> Leeds RAP Display Panels

We have recently completed the design and production of  display panels, posters and leaflets for the Leeds YOS Resettlement and Aftercare Provision (RAP) project.

> BMW PowerPoint

The core of BMW's Spring Model Update programme for 2005 is delivered using PowerPoint, including exercises, information and images.  We have designed and prepared the slides for Model Updates and Finance.  > See more here.

> New Annual Report for Himmat

A job completed to a tight deadline for an organisation committed to raising its profile in the local community.

Himmat is Halifax-based but with offices in Bradford and Keighley.  Whilst much of its work is with the Asian communities in these areas it is keen to emphasise that this it is not exclusively so.

> Writing for the Web training

We recently developed and delivered a course for Remarc Technologies in Leeds/Manchester.

Writing and editing for an internet or intranet site is different to writing for print. There is a need to apply a different set of writing skills to attract and retain the attention of the reader.  Conveying the corporate message effectively can be crucial to achieving individual, team and business objectives.

The programme is essential for
any member of staff with responsibility for supplying text for use on a company intranet or internet site, or staff responsible for updating a website using text supplied by other people.

> New display panels for Kirklees YOT

After completing successful projects for Leeds, Bradford and Calderdale YOTs we have finished a similar one for Kirklees.

The process involved a shoot in Huddersfield with a group of students from Greenhead College.  The best photographs have been selected and incorporated into four full-size mobile exhibition stands (2.1m x 800cm) and a range of A1 and A3 posters.

See examples here.

> Calderdale Domestic Violence Forum

We recently completed a new report for Calderdale DVF.  It's an eye-catching (pun absolutely intended) and thought-provoking document which uses images of the staff in a very direct style.  The black and silver format adds to the impact.  A Domestic Violence Directory is currently in production.

See a PDF version here (which doesn't do justice to the silver highlighting effects!) - 259k

> Digital Photography Training

A one-day introduction to Digital Photography has been delivered for Calderdale DVF (see above) and Calderdale YOT for staff who regularly make presentations or work with young people.  Both organisations recently invested in new cameras/projectors and wanted to ensure that they are used to their potential.
